Taking This Blog Into 2010

Happy new year to everyone! In this first post of 2010, I’d like to touch on my approach for this year. Just like Chris Brogan has his three words, I have three words too:

More Is Better

What I mean by that is the following:

  • Connecting More I’ve had my head in the sand a bit last year while doing a lot of research work and starting an agency (in Dutch). This year, I intend to connect more on all levels, online and offline. I’ll be attending more events, commenting on more blog posts, interacting more on social networks and Twitter, et cetera.
  • Posting More I’ll be sharing more of my research work over the course of the year. I’ll be increasing my post rate on this blog from twice a month to (at least) once a week. I’m also going back to more fundamental posts and will build from there. If you go back to the early days, my blog posts were short nuggets (100-150 words) but last year I’ve had posts exceed 1,000 words. I’d like to make my posts more bite-sized in format, which also fits the philosophy of my agency (in Dutch).

If you notice I’m slacking in either department, feel free to bug me about it, heh.

Maybe shorter posts is the right way to go, with redirecting to a more elaborate article about the subject? It sure seems you have done some thinking on your new year’s resolutions ;) Looking forward to your posts!

Thanks, Marco. Might be a good idea to combine posts in a recap, will work on that idea. Mmm, food for thought :)
