Vick Unleashed

Media_httpnflguyscomw_axfjo

Yesterday, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell conditionally reinstated Michael Vick. Vick can sign with any NFL team and is allowed to play the last two preseason games. Goodell will make a decision by week six to fully reinstate Vick.

To be clear, Vick has not been formally suspended, but might be if Goodell does not receive a positive report from Vick’s representatives, counselors and representatives of the team Vick signs for.

I think it was a good decision. Goodell has taken an approach similar to what he did with Adam Jones. Unfortunately, things never really worked out well for Jones, but with the appointment of Tony Dungy as official mentor by Goodell, Vick has surrounded himself with at least one trustworthy and positive person.

Hopefully, Michael Vick will use this opportunity to re-establish his identity toward the NFL and society in a positive way.
